The Ten Commandments of Contract Law
1. State the instruction accurately and as simply as possible.
2. Reread each provision for flaws.

clauses and prepositional phrases.
5. Use preambles only to establish the background or
consideration for the contract and to define terminology.
6. Never use the phrase "et cetera."
7. Never use the word intend.
8. Do not say indirectly what you can say directly. 9. Never incorporate
one agreement into another. 10 Never include in a contract a provision which
